Thanksgiving in NYC!

This year we are spending Thanksgiving in New York City!!!  I LOVE NYC! (5) I'm so excited to see my Mother-in-law and my beloved City.  In my 15 years in United States, this will be the first Thanksgiving meal at a restaurant!  Our kitchen and apartment is way too tiny to cook in, so we decide to go to Balthazar! (1)  I can not wait to tell you about this after.  Oh how I dream of food (I'm on the 6th day of my 7 day detox diet)-more about this later too.  I hope they have their Creme brulee:)
Anyways, back to nyc.  I have a few things on the agenda between the work related meetings, lunches, dinners, and workouts.  It goes like this...
Tuesday morning I'll run to ZARA...have you seen their Sept catalog?? (2)...WANTTT
Later that day I'm going to drag everyone to see the  Balenciaga exhibition (3) at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute on Park Ave.  I'm sure they'll enjoy it (maybe not Elle but who knows?)
Wednesday is Elle day... she loves the aquatic life room at the AMNH.  They are inflating the   Thanksgiving day parade (4) balloons right in front of the Museum, so we'll meet some friends there to experience parade without the scary crowds (i hope)
Thursday, see (1)
Then on Friday we'll drive to Rehoboth Beach,DE to see my parents and best friend! LOVE!!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!   Are you traveling for Thanksgiving?

BUMBY is leaving the factory!!! Going to Barney's first!

I'm so excited to hear that the first delivery of marysia BUMBY is shipping from the factory!  HURAY!!!
Marysia BUMBY is our kid line of swimsuits.  "BUMBY" a name affectionally used by Ernest Hemigway for his first born, sounded perfectly endearing to us.  The collection has grown to include a european style shorts for BOYS too!!!  I know a few very proud mama's waiting for their shorts:)
The image above was from an image used for adversing and in it are my most precious girls.  Zosia my god-daughter and Elle my baby.  Don't they look so cute together? They took this modeling job very seriously.

Something red...

I absolutely LOVE red.  I miss it so much, as my last collection was totally muted.  You can be sure I'm adding this vibrant shade of red somewhere in the 2012 line.
The girl in the white dress is Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage, she's inspiration on her own but I love a white and red combination.  The colors of my Polish flag! Also the little red middle in white Peonies is so soft, yet it adds just the wright amount of contrast.  I must translated this into swimwear soon. The other ladies are from Tommy Ton, the style.com street fashion photographer...I just love what he catches with his camera.  Last, I WANT these sigerson morrison cut out flats.

Blue and blush..

Welcome to my blog!

I'm excited to share this blog with you so you can get a more intimate look into my asthetic and creative process. This is an inspiration board for our customer too. I hope this blog will get you excited to make your next holiday as special as possible. These images are inspiring me now as I think about the next collection and my next resort trip.

On top is "Vogue at the Patisserie Cador in Paris" photograph that makes me want to be in Paris now (it will have to wait till July:), my very favorite letterpress  Westside Kate card by sugar paper illustrated by Caity Knox.  I've been dying for some cat eye sunglasses for our next sunny trip.  This pair from Chloe called "Belladone" look perfect.

This oversized Philippe Audibert cuff is the perfect statement accessory for beach.

Last but not least, this beautiful photograph by Massimo Vitali, reminds me why I do what I do.  I could spend a whole day looking at his website.  Obsession!!!

XOXO-Marysia
