SWAN LAKE...

I'm soooooo happy to cross another thing on my new year's resolution list!  Last Saturday I took Elle to her first Ballet...SWAN LAKE!!!  New York City Ballet did a spectacular version of this piece of art.  I remember seeing it for the first time while in Ballet school myself...oh how I love the music and the choreography.  After seeing this I have a new resolution...to take ballet again!  Since I left my professional ballet school in Warsaw, Poland I tried to take classes but the level of ballet in Delaware was not so great...especially coming from where I was......anyway now that I live in New York City there are no excuses...I just hope I can still remember something with out getting kicked out...eeek

next up the nutcracker...hope we can score the thanksgiving tickets for the whole family!
Do you guys like ballet?

ps.  did you see the EMMY'S last night? see my favorite looks here

Zoo...

Last weekend we went on a little family adventure to the Central park petting ZOO.  My daughter loves this place and I must say I do too...the animals are so cute and the squirrel even let us pet her.  The big zoo is pretty cool too...especially the seals.  I did feel bad for them as they looked so tired after a whole/hot day of work but I'm sure they are getting plenty of love and care.
On the way back to the subway we got to windows shop on 5th Avenue.  Bergdorf's windows were pretty but not as great as usual...next time gotta peak inside and have lunch!

ps.  Elle is wearing our BUMBY dress:)

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty...

Do you remember all those fabulously dressed people from the annual ball of the Costume Institute?

Well.... they were all celebrating the new exhibit at the MET.  The exhibition, showcases the late Alexander McQueen's extraordinary contributions to fashion.  From his postgraduate collection of 1992 to his final runway presentation which took place after his death in February 2010.   I had the chance to see the exhibit myself and it was incredible....it's the feeling that you get while in the exibit that lets you understand the complexity of the late designer.  This video shows so much of the exihib but if you are in the city you must go to the Metropolitan Museaum of Art and see it for yourself....it's a MUST!

Thanksgiving in NYC!

This year we are spending Thanksgiving in New York City!!!  I LOVE NYC! (5) I'm so excited to see my Mother-in-law and my beloved City.  In my 15 years in United States, this will be the first Thanksgiving meal at a restaurant!  Our kitchen and apartment is way too tiny to cook in, so we decide to go to Balthazar! (1)  I can not wait to tell you about this after.  Oh how I dream of food (I'm on the 6th day of my 7 day detox diet)-more about this later too.  I hope they have their Creme brulee:)
Anyways, back to nyc.  I have a few things on the agenda between the work related meetings, lunches, dinners, and workouts.  It goes like this...
Tuesday morning I'll run to ZARA...have you seen their Sept catalog?? (2)...WANTTT
Later that day I'm going to drag everyone to see the  Balenciaga exhibition (3) at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute on Park Ave.  I'm sure they'll enjoy it (maybe not Elle but who knows?)
Wednesday is Elle day... she loves the aquatic life room at the AMNH.  They are inflating the   Thanksgiving day parade (4) balloons right in front of the Museum, so we'll meet some friends there to experience parade without the scary crowds (i hope)
Thursday, see (1)
Then on Friday we'll drive to Rehoboth Beach,DE to see my parents and best friend! LOVE!!!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!   Are you traveling for Thanksgiving?
